On December 11, 2018, the opening ceremony of the first Hainan Island International Film Festival was held in Haitang Bay, Sanya. It was produced by ZOSE Pictures, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, the Tourism Development Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region, and ZOSE Pictures jointly filmed the film " Hidden Land in Northern Tibet " to be included in the first Hainan Island International Film Festival, and finally won the "Excellent Film Award" .

During the Festival, the founder of “Hidden Land in Northern Tibet " attended the red carpet ceremony and included domestic and international directors including Xie Fei, Nicholas Cage, Zhang Zhen, Zhu Yilong, Wu Yifan, Jiang Wenli, Tao Hong, Liu Zhibing, Ru Ping, Wen Bixia, etc. Many outstanding domestic and foreign filmmakers made their debut at the opening ceremony. The international film festival will show nearly 100 domestic and international masterpieces from more than 30 countries and regions.

The Hainan International Film Festival is an annual large-scale cultural festival held by the People's Government of Hainan Province approved by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee (National Film Bureau).
