The 2nd Hainan Province Dance Competition Award Ceremony was held at Hainan Provincial Theater on August 30, 2013. South sea tide, Diving girl and other 8 works won the golden prize, the memory of island and other 19 works won the silver award, under the tree and other 31 works won the bronze award. The Art Institute of Hainan University and other 17 units won the excellent organization prize.

It is reported that the Hainan Province Dance Competition is the highest art award in Hainan dance field. The first competition began in 2008 and since the second dance competition was held in May, 2013, it has received 46 entries from professional teams, 72 entries from non-professional team. Eventually, there were 48 works entered the final competition. The South sea tide and other dance work with regional characteristics likely compete the highest award of China Lotus Dance Prize.

This competition was guided by the Propaganda Department of Hainan Provincial Committee, supported by the Department of Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports of Hainan Province, sponsored by the Federation of Literary and Art Industry of Hainan Province and Provincial Dance Association, undertook by Provincial Dance Association and Provincial Mass Art Center.
